CBSE Invites Self-Nominations for National Awards to Teachers 2024-25

New Delhi, June 30, 2025 — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited self-nominations from teachers and principals of its affiliated private independent schools for the prestigious National Awards to Teachers 2024-25 under the CBSE quota.

Each year, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, honors exemplary educators through the National Awards to Teachers to recognize their outstanding contributions in shaping the nation’s education landscape. This year, CBSE has been asked to recommend six nominations from private independent schools affiliated with the Board.

Eligibility Criteria:
Teachers must have completed at least 10 years of regular service in schools affiliated with a recognized board of school education as of March 31, 2025.

Principals must have completed 10 years as a teacher and 5 years as a Principal in CBSE-affiliated schools by the same date.

Retired teachers or principals who retired on or after March 31, 2025, are also eligible.

Principals cannot apply under the ‘Teacher’ category.

Applicants may apply under only one category.
