New Delhi: The STAR RATING SCHOOL AWARD initiative has been announced to recognize and celebrate schools demonstrating outstanding performance in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on 1st February 2026 at Holiday Inn, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi.
The initiative aims to honor schools that are setting benchmarks in academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive education practices. Schools from across the country are invited to submit their nominations for this prestigious recognition.
The evaluation of participating schools will be based on comprehensive criteria, including academic excellence reflected through board examination results, innovation in curriculum and pedagogy, and holistic education practices that focus on students’ overall growth and well-being. Additional parameters include innovation in professional development through progressive teacher training and upskilling initiatives, as well as the effective integration of SDGs to ensure accessibility, equity, and inclusivity for all learners.
Organizers stated that the STAR RATING SCHOOL AWARD seeks to encourage institutions to aim for higher standards in educational quality and leadership while aligning with national and global education goals.
Schools aspiring to achieve the distinction of a High Star Rated School can apply through the official nomination process. The initiative is being led by Team CED India, which continues to promote excellence and innovation in the education sector.
